From Locke, p. 61: "He enlisted at age of 16 in the Revolution, under Genl. Sullivan, at Portsmouth. He moved from Rye to Epsom about 1790 and in 1811 moved to Alexandria where he died April 9, 1828. He was a farmer and a blacksmith, and was disabled in the Revolution by fever, which settled in his legs, causing them to burst."
Must have moved to Epsom by 1780 if his children were born there, as stated by Locke.
