From early NH Newspaper: Interesting to Sportsmen.
"We are informed by a gentleman of undoubted veracity, who saw the spoil, that friend Arnold Thompson of Epsom, on Saturday evening last, caught in his and his neighbor's field, between the hours of 8 and 12 o'clock, five bushels and three pecks of Grasshoppers. is mode of catching them was by attaching two sheets together, and fastening them to a pole, whe was used as the front part of the drag. -- The pole extended beyond the width of the sheet, so as to admit a person at both sides to draw it forward. At the sides of the drag, braces extended from the pole so as to raise the back part of the sheet considerable fromt he ground, so that the grasshoppers could not escape. After runnign the drag about a dozen rods with rapidity, the braces were taken out and the sheet doubled over; the grasshoppers were then swept from each end towards the center of the sheet, which was left an opening to the mouth of a bag which held about half a bushel.

1880
Winter Term. – Miss Mina H. Quimby still teaching. An experienced, well-qualified and energetic teacher. We noticed with pleasure the great improvement in order and attention, and that discipline was meted our impartially to all. Few teachers could have done better in this school, and it is not her fault that the results are small. The best classes in this school are those in geography, and the poorest those in reading. Classes in arithmetic are doing good work with slow progress.
1881
Amount of school money, $103.36. Lowell Eastman, committee.
Miss Mina H. Quimby, of Concord, teacher of both terms. Wages per month; summer term, $25; winter term, $32; length of school; summer, 6 weeks; winter, 8 weeks; number of scholars: summer, 32; winter, 40; average attendance: summer, 26; winter, 35. Your committee would speak in the highest terms of the management of this, the largest school in town, the past year. Miss Quimby is a thorough scholar, and she made persevering efforts to have a model school, with good success. In her government, she was decided and resolute, consequently the best of order prevailed, and good improvement was made in all the branches taught. Both examinations were witnessed by a large number of parents and friends. At the close of each term, the teacher was the recipient of a present from her pupils, which indicates the esteem in which she is held by them.
1882 Miss L. A. Harriman of Raymond, was engaged to keep the summer term, but in consequence of a misunderstanding in regard to wages she left after keeping one week, and Miss Mina H. Quimby, of Concord, was employed to finish the term and to keep the fall term.
