"Frank Quimby bought the story-and-a-half house before 1890. Frank Quimby
was also a shoemaker, working first in the shoe towns in Massachusetts and
then at East Northwood. He married twice. His first wife Linda, died leaving
two little boys. He then married Edna Bickford. They had eight children.
Edna lived in the house on the Pittsfield road for many years after her
husband's death.
The Quimby house was owned by Edna Quimby's son John, until 1968, when he
sold to Mr. and Mrs. Roland Thomas.John built a new house on part of the
property.
