Buried in Brown-Wallace Cemetery in Epsom, NH, stone marked only S.W. and the date 1800, age 63 which would put his birth year as 1737.
Samuel5 WALLIS, the son of William (Samuel3 William2) and Comfort (Cotton) Wallis was born say 1739, probably at Portsmouth or Rye. He died between 8 January and 21 May 1800 at Epsom [Rockingham Co. Probate #6698]. He married say 1766, at Newcastle Jane CHASE, daughter of the Rev. Stephen4 (Joseph3 Aquila2-1) and Jane (Wingate) Chase. Sadly the marriage records for New Castle on volume 3 of the town records have a gap between 1758 to 1770. Jane was born at Lynn, Mass. on 7 January 1739/40 [Lynn Vital Records to the Year 1850, I:101], and died at Epsom in June 1821, aged 82 [Epsom VRs, p. 151]. He first appears in a deed dated 25 June 1760, as Samuel of New Castle, joiner, when he sells to William Wallis of Hampton [his brother, although no relationship is stated] 50 acres in Epsom that "our honoured father William Wallis, late of Rye, mariner, deceased," received from William Lock, Jr. [NHPD 63:182, which in turn cites deed 32:240]. He is distinguished from his uncle Samuel and first cousin Samuel by his profession, that is, he is always the Samuel Wallis, joiner, carpenter, or housewright. On 9 November 1769 and 2 January 1771, his two brothers conveyed their part of the William Seavey Epsom grant, noted in Samuel3's will, to Samuel. [Rockingham Co. Deeds 104:72]. Curiously the language of those deeds call their parts one quarter, which would infer one more sibling, although no evidence of another sibling exists except that. With their mother Comfort already dead, there was no dower as well. On 31 December 1772, Samuel sells half the Epsom land to Timothy Goodwin [Rockingham Co. Deeds 121:379] By 4 October 1781, he was living in Portsmouth when he sells land in Newcastle to Joseph Amazeen. His wife Jane releases her dower. [Rockingham Co. Deeds 135:257]. He has two children baptized at the North Church in Portsmouth: William on 24 October 1779 [New Hampshire Genealogical Record 6:80] and Robert on 10 August 1782 [Ibid, 7:13]. He is still there in the 1790 census with a household of four men over 16; one under 16; and 2 women. During that decade he relocates to Epsom where he leaves a will dated 8 January 1800 and proved 21 May 1800 [Rockingham Co. Probate #6698]. In this will, he calls himself Samuel Wallace of Epsom, joiner and names his beloved wife (though not by name); son Joseph Chase Wallace, son Samuel Wallace $50, if he should ever return home and call for it; son Shadrach Wallace $50 if he should ever return home and call for it, daughter Peggy Treadic (sic), and daughter Comfort Wallace. He bequeaths to his wife 100 acres in Gilmanton. His inventory includes joiner tools and was valued at $1512.10. His wife, the widow Jenny Wallace is enumerated in the 1800 census at Epsom with no males, one female 26-44 and one female over 45 (i.e. Jane, the widow and her daughter Comfort).
Children of Samuel5 and Jane (Chase) Wallis, the first five born at New Castle, the last two at Portsmouth-The order of the children is determined by the following factors. Joseph Chase Wallace's birth date from his Bible (1771), Comfort's age on death (65 and hence born ca. 1775), Margaret's marriage in 1790, the fact that three of the boys were over 16 in 1790, and the last two baptisms. Lastly, Samuel comes before Shadrach in his father's will.

General Notes: Wife - Jane Chase
Buried in Brown-Wallace Cemetery in Epsom, NH, stone marked only J.W. and the date 1821, age 82.
No last name is given, though in some records she is referred to as "Jennie". LDS file gives her name as "Mrs. Acorman Wallis
Birth Lynn, MA, Jan. 7, 1739/40
Jane is the correct age to be the wife of Samuel Wallace. Her age at death (82) in the Epsom VRs (p. 151) matches her birth record. We know Samuel is in New Castle starting in 1769 (and possibly before). He has a wife Jane in 1781 when she releases dower on a deed. [Rockingham Co. Deeds 135:257] She is referred to as widow Jenny Wallace in the 1800 census at Epsom. The diminutive use of Jane (her mother was Jane) is present on her birth record, the census, and her death record. She names a son Joseph Chase Wallace, either after her uncle or grandfather. Samuel Wallis is one of the creditors to the estate of the Rev. Stephen Chase (Rockingham Probate #5093). Stephen Chase does not leave a will and administration to his estate is given to his son. Two of his sons, Stephen and John are also creditors. (M. Hollick)

Deerfield Marriage records for the Congregational Church give her name as Hannah Bean.
There was also a Hannah Prescott who married Deerfield Jan 19, 1809 a Samuel Pulsifer. Perhaps his widow, and perhaps relationship with first wife?
