Joseph Huckins (Robert 1, James 2, Robert 1) joiner, born at Oyster River Parish about 1814 and baptized 5 June 1726, "about 12 years old" (Register, vo. 32, p. 135), married first, in 1735, Mary FERNALD, daughter of Thomas4 and Mary (Thompson) Fernald papers in Library of N.E. Hist. Gen. Society), who was born at Kittery, ME, 22, Apr. 1708 (Stackpole's Kettery, p. 379), and died Mar. 1788; and secondly, Susanna PIPER, widow of Thomas, Jr., of Stratham (Lancaster's Gilmanton, p. 58). He died 28 June 1801 (family record) and adminsitration was granted to his widow Susanna (Strafford Probate Records, vo. 8, p. 362, col. 9, pp 160, 294). The only death record is of a Mrs. Johnson, died Boscawen, Mar. 29, 1820, age 74, female, widowed. Reported from Boscawen. Probably this Susannah.

PITTSFIELD - Madeline "Maddy" M. Rogers of Watson Street, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Chichester, the daughter of Kenneth M. and G. Evelyn (Blood) Huckins and has been a lifelong resident of the Chichester and Pittsfield communities.
Family members include her husband, Joseph C. Rogers of Pittsfield; two daughters Evelyn Richard of Pittsfield and Mrs. Ken (Elizabeth) Collins of Chichester; a niece whom she raised, Mrs. Rick (Wanda) Hebert of Chichester; special friend Mrs. Terry (Nancy) Perkins of Boscawen; sisters, Mrs. Peter (Ruth) Hammen of Chichester and Virginia Richard of Epsom; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
