iii MARGARET/PEGGY BICKFORD was born 11 Nov. 1785;96 died Epsom 3, 7 or 8 Oct. 1861, aged 75 years;97 buried Short Falls Cemetery in Epsom; married WILLIAM MARDEN, s/o Capt. James and Alice (Worth) Marden of Epsom,98 before birth of oldest son in 1815. William was born ca. 1791 and died 30 Jan. 1836, aged 43 years.99 Both were buried in Short Falls Cemetery in Epsom. They had 6 children, all born in Epsom:
1. Jeremiah Gordon Marden, b. [calc.] 2 Nov. 1815; d. Chattanooga, TN 18 May 1865, aged 49y 6m 16d;100; m. Epsom 26 Mar. 1838 Nancy W. Marden,101 d/o Woodbury and Judith (Bennett) Marden, who was b. [calc.] 1 Sep. 1820 and d. 7 Nov. 1872, aged 52y 2m 6d;102 both bur. Willow Valley Cem., Richland Co., WI. He was a farmer in Epsom in 1850 and in Ithaca, WI in 1860.103 Jeremiah and his wife were dismissed from the Epsom Church on 26 Mar. 1858 when they moved to Ithaca.104 He joined the 6th Wisconsin Light Artillery at Ithaca on 29 Dec. 1863 and died of disease while in the army.105

Sanbornton, NH 25 Jul. 1840 Rebecca Judkins Sanborn, d/o Lowell and Mary/Molly (Marden) Sanborn,1 who was b. Gilford 11 Sep. 18181and d. Deerfield 7 Jun. 1889, aged 70y; both bur. Morrison Cem., Deerfield, NH. William was a farmer in Loudon in 1850, 1860 & 1870 and in Deerfield in 1880.
3. Samuel B. Marden, bapt. 14 May 1819; d. Epsom 11 Nov. 1882, aged 62y 11m; m. Epsom 12 Sep. 1843 Eleanor S. Young, d/o George and Abigail (Seavey) Young , who was b. Deerfield, NH 21 Sep. 1820 and d. Concord 23 Oct. 1900, aged 80y; both bur. Short Falls Cem., Epsom. Samuel was a cabinet maker in Concord in 1860 and a farmer in Epsom in 1870 & 1880.
4. David Locke Marden, b. [calc.] 19 Mar. 1822; bapt . 30 Jun. 1822; d. Portsmouth, NH 1 Sep. 1892, aged 70y 5m 13d; m. Mary Elizabeth Unknown by 1845 when oldest dau. was born. David was a cabinet maker in Andover, NH in 1850 and in New Boston in 1860, and worked in piano manufacturing in New Boston in 1870.
