This is unproven. 1850 US Census for Ellsworth gives his age as 77, putting birth about 1773. This is close to what the Campton Cemetery would give for an age. This is before the reported marriage date of his parents. He is the only Samuel Yeaton that would be of Chichester in this time period, part of the town becoming part of Pittsfield.

N.H. Genealogical Record:
"The names of the children of Samuel and Susanna may have considerable significance regarding the identity of Susanna. Since the names Richard and Esther didn't come from the Rand side of the marriage, we may associate them with Susanna. They suggest that Susanna may have been an unrecorded daughter of Richard and Esther (Dearborn) Shortridge of Portsmouth, NH (Genealogical Dictionary, 632) Three other pieces of circumstancial evidence also tend to reinforce this possible idenity of Susanna:
1) Ann Shortridge, daughter of Richard and Esther ( ) Shortridge, married 18 Nov 1686 George Wallis. The two bondsmen for the adminstration of George Wallis' estate in 1724 were Samuel Rand Jr. and Nehemiah Berry, son and son-in-law respectively of Susanna (Henry Harrison Metcalf and Otis Grant Hammon 'Probate Records of the Province of New Hampshire'
2) Ann Wallis, daughter of George and Ann (Shortridge ) Wallis, married Abraham Barnes, son of Samuel Rand's sister, Mary (Rand) Barnes (Genealogical Dictionary, 715 and 77)
3) Richard 2 Shortridge,son of Richard and Esther names a daughter Susanna. The same Susanna was not in the background of Richard 2 Shortridges's wife, Alice Creber, so it is quite possible that he had a sister named Susanna (Genealogical Dictionary, 170).
