According to Marden Genealogy there is a possible second marriage, but this is questionable. If his wife Betsy's death information is correct, then it would indicate a possible divorce.
Epsom, NH records on the death of son George W., his birth place is given as New York.
A Samuel Marden is listed in the 1850 census of Epsom, NH with wife Betsey, and is in the Agricultural Census for the town of Epsom, NH, 1851, 1852 and 1853. In same census 1855 he is no longer listed.

Dolbeer gives age as about 70. Marden Genealogy says he married second, Ann Stevens. The 1850 census gives Nancy Marden, age 77, still living as head of household with Nathaniel and Judith Marden, both children mentioned in Samuel's will in which he leaves the estate to his wife Nancy. Judith is mentioned as his daughter, but could be his daughter-in-law who married his son Woodbury who died early 1834. Census also leaves possible son Samuel who died 1820 age 19, who does not seem to fit with other Marden families in town at the time.

The Dolbeer Death Records give the death of the wife of Samuel Marden, Sept. 2, 1839, and  Samuel Marden probably remarried Jan. 13, 1841, Ann Stevens. McClary family history says Nancy McClary married second 'old Samuel Marden', she being the widow of John Stevens. Therefore, the Nancy in the will is his second wife.
