From Rockingham County Probate Files for the year 1809 #8048 - excerpt:
We, Thomas D. Merrill, trader, Simon A. Heath, gentleman, and Jonathan Godfrey, yeoman, all of Epsom, are bound unto Nathaniel Rogers, Esq, Judge of probate for one thousand dollars, by these presents the 18th day of January 1809, the condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounder Thomas D. Merrill, who is chosen and allowed to be guardian unto William Dickey, a minor upwards of fourteen years of age, reputed son of Hanover Dickey of said Epsom, yeoman, shall well and truly perform and discharge guardian of the said William Dickey for the time when William shall arrive at 21 years of age.

James Babb in his diary "Wm H Dickey died at 5 P.M. of a Dropsy - Aet 26 yrs."

In the Epsom Town records (March 1824) there is an entry where the taxes are abated for both the Widow of Wm Dickey and the heirs of Wm Dickey which would indicate a spouse and possible children.

Heath, in said Epsom, to receive said claims, on the first Mondays of April, May, June and July, from 2 to 6 o'clock, P.M. at which times the creditors will bring forward and support their claims.
