Aug. 22, 1785, the son of Jacob Carr, of Weare, and a descendant of the fourth generation from John Carr, of Salisbury, Mass., who is said by some to have emigrated from England and settled there, --- a possible brother or son of George (See II.) He commenced the study of medicine March 10, 1808, with Hon. D. L. Morrill, M. D., of Goffstown, completed his studies with Dr. Samuel Morrill, of Epsom, and commenced practice at Weare in Dec., 1811. Jean Sargent in "Babb Families of America" incorrectly gives a first marriage to a Mr. Randlet, her middle name was Randlett, as given in the diary of her brother James.
Her tombstone says:---
"Why weep, my friends? Why thus complain?
Your loss is my eternal gain.
Repent, believe, to Jesus fly,
And death shall be your victory."

Death date from nephew James Babb's diary, died of a fit. No age given.
From Diary of George Benjamin Wallace, grandson:
Grand Father served through the 7 years, was shot through the knee, crippled ever after.
My Grand Father at his death Drew A penson and lived in Deerfield, the line seperating DeareField from Epsom run through the farm, he died about 78 years ago. I remember seeing my Grand Father & G Mother once. I in company with A older brother had been to my Fathers farm, joining my G Fathers to salt the cattle. after preforming that duty, we went to Grand Fathers house, it being late in the afternoon, we stoped but A short time as Grand Father & G Mother thought it was time to go, so as to be home befor dark. Grand Mother gave us both of us A slice of bredd & butter and walked A little way home with us. G Father put his hand on my head and blest me and called me his little joy, leaning one hand on his Cane and the other on my head. I remember how they looked as if it had been but A few years ago, and the onely time I remember ever seeing eather of them at that time.
Babb Families of America by Jean Sargent, p 289, has some errors.
Anna Wallace is given as a daughter of George and Rachel Wallace and married Peter Patterson...also not correct. This Anna was Anna Goodhue who married John Wallace, son of Ebenzer and Sarah Wallace, he died and she married second, as Anna Wallace, Peter Patterson.
There is in the LDS records a son John who may have died young, and there is a Dorothy possibly born 1794 (note son John had a daughter named Dorothy) BUT the 1800 Census shows only one daughter and one son under 10, Philip and Margaret, which would mean the Dorothy would have had to die young.
General Notes: Wife - Rachel Babb
Biography of George Benjamin Wallace (Geneva Graham) indicates she died Deerfield, 1823, but is probably not correct. Based on story given in his brief autobiography.
