Richard Allen Folsom, II, 59 years, a resident of Wells, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford after a tragic automobile accident.
Mr. Folsom was born March 15, 1951 in Gray, ME and was the son of Richard Allen and Ann Marie (Emery) Folsom.
He graduated from Pembrook Academy in Pembrook, NH and earned his Bachelor Degree at Plymouth State University.
After college, he went on to teach history at Farmington High School in Farmington, NH for nine years, and was currently teaching History at Kennebunk High School where he has taught for over 26 years, as well as being the team photographer for all of the sports teams at KHS.
For the majority of his career, Richard enjoyed going to the Moosehead Lakes Region during the summers, along with his beloved dogs, Jack, Millie and Charlotte, where he would photograph the majestic scenery of the area.
He was a member of the Maine Teachers Association.
He will be sadly missed by all of the many lives that he touched.
He is survived by his father, Richard A. Folsom of New Hampton, NH and his mother, Ann May of Epsom, NH; brothers Glen May of Epsom, NH, Victor May of Loudon, NH, Wallace May of Concord, NH, Robert May of Epsom, NH, Scott May of Mexico, ME, Dennis May of Buxton, ME, and AJ May of Fairfield, ME; sisters Linda Croteau of Arundel, Carole Forrest of Rochester, NH, Joan Beaudoin of Kennebunkport, Diane Rowland of Biddeford and Robin Hanson of Kennebunk.
