CHICHESTER \endash Frank B. Hatch Jr., 88, a resident of Chichester, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon after a short illness.
He was born April 9, 1927, in Merrimack, the son of Frank B. and Ruth (Mason) Hatch Sr. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, June (Call) Hatch in 1992 and an infant daughter, Faye in 1951.
Rank worked for the State of NH for more than 40 years before his retirement. For many years, he also worked part-time at the Beanstalk Store in Chichester, which was owned by his brother, Albert.
Frank served in the Navy in World War II on the USS Kearsarge. He was a Mason for 64 years at the Corinthian Lodge #82 in Pittsfield. Throughout the years, he served the town of Chichester in many different capacities \endash as a deputy fire chief of the volunteer fire department, as a member of the Conservation Commission, as assistant road agent. He was a lifetime fire warden and served on the Executive Committee of the Chichester Historical Society.
You could often find him in his chair reading and he loved a good Western. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His family members include his son, Frank B.
