A letter in the probate file of 1980 from Emma Motz, requesting copies, notes there was with Sarah Haynes (Haines) widow and 6 sons and 5 daughters. Malachi Haines, administrator.

NH Republican Gazette, Aug 3, 1802, Died at Chichester, last Saturday, Lt. Malachi Haymes.- has left a widow and a large family of children.
NH Patriot and State Gazette, Mon, Aug. 18, 1823 Real Estate Auction, WILL be sold at public Vendue on the premises on Tuesday the second day of September next - that excellent FARM in CHichetser, lately owned and now occupied by Mr. Malachi Haines, containing about 115 acres of good land - well proportioned for mowing, tillage and pasturing - well wooded and watered: a good two story house 30 by 40 , a barn 30 by 70, well finished with other buildings, a well of never failing water, a cider mill and an extraordinary orchard. Said farm lives abour four miles from Concord Street, on the main old road to Portsmouth.
