General Notes: Husband - William Warren Prescott

William Warren graduated from
Dartmouth in1877. He was principal of high schools in Northfield and
Montpelier, VT. He published, with his brother Charles, the Biddeford (ME)
Journal. For 5 years he owned and published the Montpelier State
Republican. In1885 he became president of Battle Creek College. In
1891, he became president of Union College in Lincoln, NE, while still
retaining his presidency at Battle Creek. He was Union’s first
president, after he had helped plan the institution. In1893, he became
president of Walla Walla College.
