EPSOM, May 10 - Funeral services were held this week at the New Rye church for Walter W. Peters, who died in Naples, Italy, April 24. Rev. H. Franklin Parker officiated.
Bearers wer Richard Peters, Middleton, Conn., and Perley Coomb of Westwood, mass., honory bearers: also Walter Linquist, Nantucket, Mass.; Walter Cuteliff, Reading, Mass; Forrest Combs, Port Jefferson, L.I., William Westwood, Mass., Kenneth Wells, Coombs, Massepequa, L.I., and Charles Arthur Johnson, Gossville.
Burial was in the family lot in the New Rye cemetery. The flag which draped the coffin of Mr. Peters, a veteran of World War I, was folded and presented to Mrs. Peters by Robert F. Demers, commander of the Elwood O. Wells post, American Legion, with Edward Clough assisting.

The body of Mrs. Belinda Murphy, who died at Aberdeen about four years ago, was brought to Olympia yesterday and interred in the family lot in Odd Fellows' cemetery.

Belinda Murphy is the matriarch, wife of Amos Murphy and Robert Lloyd in Illinois and Indiana. She was married to Lloyd last, but is buried as Murphy, died in 1895. Melissa, born in 1859 is the daughter of Amos and Belinda Murphy. (message board, Ancestry)
We find next in the 1880 Federal census and also Indiana marriages that she re-married in 1879 to Robert L. Lloyd. They resided in Franklin Township, Grant Co., Indiana and she was 61 yrs old. On the 1880 census it shows Belinda Murphy her daughter as a Cox and divorced with her are 2 children Alice age 9 and George age 5.
The marriage was a failed marriage for Malinda Pettengill Sanders Murphy Lloyd, the records show him re- marrying and we locate Malinda Pettengill having traveled to the Northwest to be with her children, Belinda Murphy Cox and her 2 children, Alice M. Cox and George Plummer Cox, and another daughter Malissa Jane Murphy Peters (married Jesse L. Peters of Indiana & divorced) and re- married to Thomas Thompson, in Peru, IN. (from Message Boards)
