" Despondency Cause of Suicide
Dowagiac, Mich., May 29 - George Allen, aged 37, ended his life Saturday at the home of his brother-in-law, Russell Van Antwurp (sic). Allen had been in poor health for some time and had just returned from a trip to Arizona and New Mexico for lung trouble. Saturday, feeling worse than usual, he went to his room, and after bolting his door, he sent a bullet through his heart and died instantly."
