EPSOM - Ella H. (Palmer) Blodgett, 82, died Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Epsom Health Care Center after a period of failing health.
Born in Candia on July 20, 1928, Ella was the daughter of the late George and Harriet (Keniston) Palmer. She was a longtime Epsom resident and attended Coe-Brown Academy in Northwood.
Ella spent several years with Sprague Electric in Concord. In addition, she worked at Fred & Violet's All Night Truck Stop in Hooksett and Billy's Restaurant and McDonald's in Epsom.
She enjoyed family gatherings and was an avid genealogist. She also liked to crochet and knit, snowmobile, and tinker with electronics. Most of all, however, Ella loved to dance. She was an exceptionally talented dancer and a popular figure at Bunny's in Northwood.
Ella was known by many for her kindness, love and great faith in her savior, Jesus Christ.
Members of her family include two sons, Donald Blodgett and his wife, Ginny, and Benjamin Blodgett and his wife, Billie, all of Deerfield; three granddaughters, Amie Stephens, Crystal Witham and Raven Blodgett; five great-grandchildren; three siblings, Mabel Laframboise of Latrobe, Pa., Mildred Ames of Epsom, and Robert Palmer and his wife, Jackie, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Epsom \endash Elmer H. "Buddy" Palmer Jr., 70, of Goboro Road died Dec. 22, 2013, at the Epsom Health Care Center following a long illness. He was born in Concord, the son of Elmer H. and Mabel (Jones) Palmer. He was a carpenter, having worked for various contractors in the area. He retired as a supervisor for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, having served for many years at the Epsom Rest Area. He was a member of the Epsom Fire Department for over 30 years.
He was the widower of Rhoda (Mandigo) Palmer, who died in 2008, and members of his family include a son, Elmer H. "Buddy" Palmer III, of Northwood and his partner, Holly; three grandchildren, Cody Nash, Buddy Palmer and Logan Palmer; two brothers, Daniel Palmer of Allenstown and Robert Palmer; two sisters, Jeannette Pickard and Judy Howard, both of Epsom; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Randy Palmer, and a daughter, Rhonda.
A memorial graveside urn burial will be held in the spring in the McClary Cemetery, Epsom.
