Baptised of his own accord in Epsom, NH Feb. 28, 1772 at age 34. Was in Greenland, NH in 1758 and soon moved to Epsom, NH. It is here he buried his wife, Bridget Weeks, though the location is unknown. He settled on the farm where his nephew Mark afterward resided. He sold his place to his brother James, in a deed joined by wife Susanna, around 1800, as he is not taxed in Epsom, NH after that date. John Mark Moses states "Lived (Epsom) til 1800 when he sodl to his brother James, and went to Meredith, whre several of his sons had preceeded him."
On June 28, 1906 Josiah Moses of Ticonderoga, N.Y. (then 89 years old) wrote that his grandfather's name was Samuel Moses, of Epsom, NH. His fathers name was William Moses amd his father's brothers were Ebenezer, Samuel, Theodore, Sylvanus, John, James and David.
