Appears in probate of her mother Elizabeth (Merrimack County 4323) as M. P. Marden Ham, where the last name Marden is crossed out and the name Ham inserted. Date is November of 1855, her mother died in 1853. Mary P. had married, no vital record, George W. Ham, son of George Benson and Olive Ann (Bickford) Ham. She died in 1862, and her grave at the McClary Cemetery, no longer visible, shows Mary P. wifwe of Geo. W. Ham.

Sylvia Fitts Getchell, in The Marden Genealogy (p. 255) writes that M.P. could be the same person as a Nancy F. Marden who appears in a marriage record from Pittsfield, who married George W. Ham, April 10, 1862. She was the daughter of Wendell Marden
