Salem, Essex, MA; Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and NH:: "After the delusion subsided, she [Mercy] went to Greenland, where her aunt Mary Lewis (Lewis), w. of Jotham was liv., and in 1695, at the ho. of Abraham Lewis she had a bastard ch., James Darling, husb. of her anut Hannah, being her bondsman. Her aunt Mary and Charles Allen Jr test. for her, and as she was Mercy Allen of Boston in 1701, it is prob. that Allen was the ch.'s fa. and m. her."
