General:
Joyce L. Rand, 80, of Epsom, died Monday, June 18, 2012 after a courageous two year battle with cancer.
She was born April 3, 1932 in Pittsfield, NH, daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Cameron) LeDuc. Joyce was raised in Pittsfield and married Carleton T. Rand of Epsom on November 19, 1950.
She enjoyed spending time at Loon Pond in Gilmanton and Pleasant Lake in Northwood with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her genealogy hobby.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carleton Rand of Epsom; two sons, Thomas J. and Brett A, Rand and his wife Judy; and one granddaughter, Megan Josie Meagher and her husband William Meagher, all of Epsom; and a sister, Greta Wiggin of Portsmouth and several nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private family burial. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society; Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program 30 Pillsbury, St., Concord, NH, 03301; or the Epsom Historical Association, P.O. Box 814, Epsom, NH, 03234.
