Orrin S. Howe (Co G MA 16th Infantry) died during the Civil War during the Spotsylvania Court House Campaign 12 May 1864.

Orin was born in Newton, MA but by 1850 the family was living in Lowell. In 1860 he was living in the household of his Aunt Abigail(Ayer) and Uncle James Smith. His occupation was mill hand. Enlisting on 12 July 1861 in Co G Mass 16th Infantry, Orrin was killed in 1861 during the Spotsylvania Campaign in Virginia. His burial location is unknown.
