Notes
General:
There is no vital record for Nathaniel Allen. The 1800 US Census for Allenstown shows 5 boys in the household of Josiah Allen in Allenstown, NH. Joseph, Josiah, Ezra and Daniel have recorded dates of birth, and at roughly children being born every two years, Nathaniel has been placed as 1796, the only two year interval without a known child. Son Ezra was born July 1790, and the 1800 US Census was enumerated August 4, at which time he would have been age 10. This also would allow the placement of Nathaniel as a child under 10 in 1800. It does not appear as though he is in the family during the census 1810 or 1820, so he remains a bit of a mystery.

Possibly where Nathaniel is living.
1850 US Mortality Schedules
The schedule gives Nathaniel Allen, 8, but also as a farmer and widowed. Obviously an 8 year old is not a farmer, nor widowed. Believe the 8 should be 80. Month of death, January (1850). Birth place given (incorrectly) as Maine.
Based on census records, it would appear that Nathaniel became of age near the time he bought land of his father Jude in 1789, which would put his birth probably before 1770, and likely first born son.
