Thomas Marden of Epsom, joiner to Joseph Allen of Boston, windsor chair maker, land in Epsom being lot #3 30 acres in the second range also No. 2, a 30 acre lot in the same range to contain 30 acres, and also 26 acres in lot No. 6, a 30 acre lot also 1/4 acre in Lot. #4 being the same I purchased of Nathaniel Allen by deeds dated Dec. 12, 1797. Wife Sarah reliquishes dower.
There is a deed (R 230-452) where a Daniel Blanchard of Northfield sells to a Thomas Marden of Norhtfield, joiner, land in Northfield.
Getchell "Marden Family Genealogy" p. 154-155, gives this as Thomas of Kingston, citing 1810 - 1830 census. A Thomas Marden, she continues, in Kingston Church records, including his death July 2, 1845, though the records shed no light on the family. Deeds show Thomas arriving Epsom, and leaving for Deerfield, appearing in Epsom 1800 census and Deerfield 1810. He sells his Deerfield lands in 1818. Failed to find in 1820 census, and could not verify the Kingston Thomas Marden in the census.
Likely brother to William (1760-1862) of Epsom.
