General:

"Jones" may or may not have been her maiden name. The marriage entry in the New Castle Town Records on page 224 lists the bride as being "Mrs. Abigail Jones" while the entry on page 250 only lists her as "Abigail Jones". Furthermore, the New Hampshire Genealogical Register lists the entry: "Mr. Ephraim AMMAZEEN & Mis [sic] Abigail JONES married Novembr [sic] ye 24th 1756[20]". She was born on 10 November 1737 in New Castle, Rockingham co., NH[4] and died in New Castle, Rockingham co., NH on 27 November 1812; she was 75. She was "of New Castle" at the time of her marriage[39].
