I. Thomas Haines was a son of ( ) and Rachel Haines. She married, second, Jonathan Wedgwood (2). Thomas was born about 1685 ;
married, first, Jan. 9, 1712, Abigail, daughter of Lieut. James Philbrick (6) ; second, Dec. 28, 1716, Abigail Cole, who died June 26, 1772, aged eighty-five years. He died at North Hampton, March 25, 1770.

Malachi Haines of Chichester to Thomas Haines of Chichester, in my capacity as administrator to the estate of Malachi Hains late of Chichester, gentleman, deceased, land being the homestead farm belonging to the estate of Malachi Hains, deceased, bying and adjoining to land belonging to Nathaniel and John Morrill and also one half of a pew in the meeting house in Chichester on the lower florr, the other half of which is owned by me the said Malachi Haines, he the said Thomas Hains being the highest bidder for the aforesaid premises.

He was also a soldier in Captain Gilman's Company which pursued the Indians after they murdered Colonel Hilton at Exeter, NH 23 June 1708. He was also a Captain of a scouting expedition in 1723. With his mother in March of 1727, he sold part of his father's land in Falmouth, ME
