January 15, 1806
Know all men by these presents that we Samuel Locke, Gent., Joseph
Lawrence, husbandman, and Thomas Babb, Gent., all of Epsom and the
County of Rockingham, are holden and bound unto Nathaniel Rogers
Esq., Judge of probate for said county in the sum of one thousand
dollars to be paid to the said Nathaniel Rogers his successor or
successors in the said office or to his or her assigns to the which
payment well and truly to be made we bond ourselves, our heirs,
Executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these
presents sealed with our seals, dated the 15th day of January Anno
Domini 1806 -
The condition of the above obligation is that if the above bounden
Samuel Locke who is chosen and allowed to be guardian unto Reuben
Locke, a minor upwards of fourteen years of age and appointed Guardian
unto Nancy Locke a minor under the age of fourteen years, children
of Abraham Locke late of said Epsom, yeoman, deceased shall well
and truly perform and discharge the __ and trust of Guardian unto
the said minors and that in and by all things according to and shall
record a plain and true account of his Guardianship upon oath of
all and singular the estate of the said minors that shall come to
his hands by virtue thereof and of the profits and improvements
thereof so far as the law will charge him therewith when he shall
be thereunto lawfully required and shall pay and deliver what and
so much of said estate as shall be found upon his account remaining
in his hands the same being first examined and allowed by the judge
or judges of probate for said county for the time being unto the
said minors when things shall ___ arrive at full age or otherwise
as the said judge or judges by his or their reference or decree
pursuant to law shall limit and appoint then the above obligation
to be void otherwise to remaining full force.
