WILL of Winthrop Fowler 1860
In
the name of God Amen. I Winthrop Fowler of Pembroke in the County of Merrimack
and State of New Hampshire, being weak in body but of a sound and perfect mind
and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, and
herein dispose of all my worldly estate in manner following, to wit:
First,
I order and direct my executor herein named to pay all my just debts and funeral
charges, as soon as may be after my decease.
Second I give and bequeath to
my daughter Abigail Locke wife of Daniel P. Locke of Epsom, the sum of one hundred
dollars to be paid by my executor herein named in one year from my decease.
Third,
I give and bequeath to my daughter Betsey Kimball wife of Edward Kimball of Pembroke
the sum of four hundred dollars to be paid by my executor herein named in one
year from my decease.
Fourth I give, bequeath and devise to my son Samuel Fowler
of Epsom, his heirs and assigns forever, one undivided sixteenth part of the Short
Falls Grist Mill so called, situated in Epsom aforesaid, together with one undivided
sixteenth part of all the land, buildings and privilege thereunto belonging; also
five acres of land situated in said Epsom adjoining Chichester line and land of
said Samuel Fowler, and also all the shares I have or may have and own at my decease
in the Capital Stock of the City Bank, Manchester, New Hampshire.
Fifth, I
give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Fowler of said Pembroke, the sum of three
hundred dollars in addition to what I have heretofore given her, and in full for
any claim she had or might have for (services?) to the date herein after written,
to be paid by my executor herein named in one year from my decease.
Sixth and
lastly, I give, bequeath and devise to my son Winthrop Fowler Jr. of said Pembroke,
his heirs and assigns forever, all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate,
real, personal and mixed, wheresoever found and however situated; and I do hereby
appoint my said son Winthrop Fowler Jr. sole executor of this my last will and
testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of March in the year
