WILL of Greenleaf Brackett 1872
Be
it remembered that I Greenleaf Brackett, of Epsom, in the County of Merrimack
and State of New Hampshire, being weak in body but of sound and perfect memory,
blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and
testament, in a manner for ___ that is to say
First I order and __ my Executor
hereinafter named to pay all my just debts and funeral charges as soon as may
be after my decease.
Second I give and bequeath to my son, William Brackett
the sum of one dollar
Third I give and bequeath to my daughter Abigail Smith,
widow of the late Benjamin Smith, deceased, the sum of ten dollars.
Fourth
I give and bequeath to my daughter Alice Prescott, wife of Jacob Prescott, the
sum of one dollar.
Fifth I give and bequeath to the heirs of my deceased daughter,
Naomi B. Merriam, the sum of one dollar.
Sixth I give and devise to my son
John L. Brackett his heirs and assigns forever, the homestead farm on which I
now reside containing about forty acres more or less.
Also, I give, bequeath
and devise to my said son John L. Brackett, his heirs and assigns forever, all
the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real, personal and ___, wherever
found and however situated (except my Household Furniture)
And I do hereby
appoint my said son John L. Brackett, sole executor of this my last Will and Testament,
hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this thirty-first day of August, A.D. 1872.
