Below is written on the back of a printed 'circular' or form, which was sent out by Hall Roberts, Commissioner of Common Schools for Merrimack County, and though instead of being filled out with annexed reports, included only the above remarks, and was to be returned by the Superintending School Committee to the Secretary of State's office. Dated Concord, N.H., Dec. 1850. View Form Report of Epsom Superintending School Committee for 1850 It
affords the superintending School Committee of Epsom great pleasure to be able
to report an increasing interest and improvements in most of the schools in town
the present year - in most of the Districts able, faithful and efficient teachers
have been employed and more interest manifested by parents - in some of the schools
a very marked and decided advance in improvements have been made beyond the previous
year - Indeed the teachers generally and a large majority of the scholars have
done themselves much credit during both the summer and winter terms-
